Gambling with fuel mileage and late race cautions led Brad Keselowski to victory lane at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. His first win in 33 races.
The win didn’t come easy to the Team Penske driver, who received a speeding penalty while exiting pit road on lap 180. When Regan Smith and Kyle Larson spun with 51 laps to go, the 2 team stayed out for track position.
Keselowski restarted on the front row with teammate Joey Logano, but fresher tires helped Kyle Busch gain the lead. He held the position until a vibration was enough of a challenge for him to keep the lead. Keselowski, who saved enough fuel under cautions, regained the lead with 6 to go and extended a lead enough to the checkers.
